Embracing Strength and Beauty: Miss A.'s Boudoir Experience

boudoir photography journey

Jamie and I (Lindsey) at The Adore Girls are honored to witness the transformative power of boudoir photography. Every session brings us closer to remarkable women who inspire us with their strength, stories, and courage. Today, we’re thrilled to share Miss A.’s journey—one of resilience, self-love, and rediscovery.

Miss A.’s Story of Strength and Perseverance

Age: 47
Hometown: Hendersonville, TN

When Miss A. isn’t dazzling in front of our camera, she’s hard at work as a senior e-commerce specialist, spending hours behind a computer. But her heart is happiest surrounded by furry friends—puppy-sitting has become her side hustle and her ultimate source of joy. "One can't have enough dog snuggles, kisses, or boops on the nose, can you?" she says.

Life Journey:
Single for five years after a 21-year marriage, Miss A. has endured unimaginable losses. From the passing of her only child, Ashlyn, to the loss of her best friend and father within a short span, her resilience is awe-inspiring. Through the heartache, she has found strength, grace, and the determination to rediscover herself.

Her constant companion? A loyal Shepherd Husky mix named Ares fills her home with love and comfort.

Why Boudoir? Why Now?

"Why not?" Miss A. shared.

She booked her session as a gift to herself on her 47th birthday. Having faced so much loss since 2019, Miss A. knew it was time to step out of her comfort zone and embrace life fully.

"I wanted to feel empowered, brave, and beautiful. I wanted to see how I looked through a professional lens—to do something just for me."

Like many women, she had hesitated in the past, worrying about not being "enough" in some way. But this time, she decided to let go of self-doubt. "I am who I am, and how I look is how I look. I didn’t diet or starve myself. I booked the session because you only have one short life to live. If you keep putting things off, you’ll never truly live."

The Adore Girls Experience

Why The Adore Girls?
"I had been stalking the Facebook group for ages," Miss A. admits with a laugh. The stunning images and glowing testimonials drew her in. Once she was ready, she saved up and decided it was time to splurge on herself.

Pre-Shoot Nerves

The night before her session, Miss A. worried she might break out in hives from nerves, just as she had before her wedding photos years ago. But this time, she took a deep breath and pushed forward.

"I was nervous about liking how I looked in the images—worried I was too squishy, too curvy, too this, too that. But boy, was I wrong!"

The Day of the Shoot

From the moment she walked into the studio, Miss A. shared that she felt at ease.

"The hair and makeup were incredible. Lindsey was my photographer, and it felt like I had known her for years. We laughed and talked about insecurities, and then I gave her free rein on poses and sets. I wanted to feel like I could conquer the world—and that’s exactly how I felt in the studio."

After the session, she sat in her car, looked in the mirror, and said to herself, "Who is that beautiful woman right there in the driver’s seat?"

Seeing the Final Images

When Miss A. saw her boudoir photos for the first time, she fell in love—with herself.

"I couldn’t believe it was me in those photos. I looked confident, beautiful, and strong."

She opted for the complete digital package and the mobile app, giving her a keepsake she could revisit anytime for a confidence boost.

The Impact of Boudoir Photography

The experience didn’t just end at the studio for Miss A.

"Whenever I doubt myself or feel less than, I look at my photos and remind myself—I am that woman. The confidence I gained during this shoot has carried over into my everyday life."

Her Message to You

"Do it. Don’t wait. Don’t hesitate a moment longer. You will not regret it. Do it for you. You deserve this." - Miss A.
